Are your operators using your lift trucks in a safe and efficient manner?

"Every employer shall ensure that all persons who use work equipment have received adequate training for purposes of Health and Safety".

SR Training can help your company meet Health and Safety requirements through the delivery of approved ITSSAR Instructors.

On-site Training:

All lift truck operator training courses, novice, experienced,
refresher and conversion are delivered on customer premises
anywhere in Great Britain provided they have:

A mechanically sound fork lift truck for use throughout the duration of the course

An area that can be closed off for training purposes suitable
loads to be moved with the fork lift truck

A quiet room with a power supply.

A maximum of three trainees can attend the course at any one
time.

Courses available:

5 Day Novice Operator:

This course is designed for the person with little or no experience of lift truck operation. The candidate receives tuition in safe operating techniques, which includes closely supervised practice in simulated but realistic working areas. The theory of lift truck operation is amply covered through classroom tuition and training films.

At the end of the course the trainee will take both a written and a practical test and successful operators will be issued with a certificate and photo ID badge of basic training endorsed by ITSSAR.

Experienced Operator:

Designed specifically for the experienced operator who has not had the benefit of formal training or where corrective tuition is required. The course timetable allows the operator ample time to develop and improve their operating skills under supervision, whilst providing the necessary theoretical knowledge of safe working practices and relevant legislation through classroom sessions supported by training films.

At the end of the course the trainee will take both a written and a practical test and successful operators will be issued with a certificate and photo ID badge of basic training endorsed by ITSSAR.

1 Day Refresher:

It is stated the Health & Safety Commission Approved Code of Practice (L117) that "even trained and experienced lift truck operators need to be re-assessed from time to time to ensure that they continue to operate lift trucks safely. This assessment, which should form part of a firms normal monitoring procedure and be formally time-tabled to ensure that it is done at reasonable intervals, will indicate whether any further training is needed. Employers can, of course, decide that automatic retraining after a set period of time is the best way of ensuring employees are adequately trained."

SR Training offers a 1 day training course, which consists of theory to up-date on new legislation and operating standards, remedial training and final theoretical and practical examinations. Successful operators will be issued with a updated certificate.

1 Day Conversion:

Designed specifically for the certificated operator who has undergone training within the last 6 months of one type of lift truck to enable him or her to operate a further type of lift truck i.e. Counterbalance to Reach or vice versa.

The course includes class room theory lessons and training films covering all legislative and operating standards guidelines leading to the ITSSAR theory test. Practical tuition to ITSSAR standards and examinations.
